Geographic Center of Chile
A recent visitor asks:
What is the exact geographic center of Chile?
Chile extends from Arica in the north to the Antarctic territorial claims that end with the south pole. Because of Chile’s claim to a large part of Antarctica, the center of the country is at the southern end of South America.
The geographic center of Chile lies near Fuerte Bulnes seen in the center of this map near the bottom.
I found a picture of the monument in a photo gallery that shows its location on a large map of Chile.
