Amazing Race to Chile, Again!
One of my favorite shows on TV is the CBS show Amazing Race that sends teams of two racing around the world.
A few seasons ago, the show’s participants went to Santiago, Chile. Since I spent most of my time there, it was fun to see familiar places downtown. I even submitted my own “Been There, Done That” story, which CBS put on their website.
Once again, the show sent teams to Chile this season. Last week they traveled to the Atacama desert in the north and visited Chuquicamata, the Valle de la Luna or Valley of the Moon and the Valle de la Muerte or Valley of the Dead.
Since Chile has such an amazingly diverse landscape, the teams could spend yet another leg of the race in a completely different environment. Leaving the dry north, teams traveled to the moist and green landscapes of Chile’s Lake region. Flying south into Puerto Montt, teams got to see the Saltos de Petrohue and finished on the shores of El Lago de Todos los Santos.
If you’re going to Chile, be sure you have your own Amazing Race through the diverse and beautiful landscapes Chile has to offer!
