Flight to Santiago Chile
Any airline flight into Santiago, be it a Chilean airline or an international carrier, will offer you a great view of the beautiful Andes Mountains:
Often times, there is a heavy layer of fog or smog over the city that greatly reduces visibility. When you’re landing, you may look out the window and see nothing but clouds. Then, all of a sudden, boom! You land.
On my trip back from southern Chile, our Lan airlines flight was delayed because the airport was fogged in.
I found the following video of a flight landing at the Santiago airport in some heavy fog:
It really makes you thankful for the technology that helps land those planes.
