Chile Finishes Hottest Summer in 94 Years
According to Chilean newspaper El Mercurio (in Spanish), Chile has just finished the warmest summer they’ve had in 94 years.
Temperatures this summer averaged 30.6C or about 87F.
During my two summers in central Chile, I consistently experienced dry, sunny days. It seemed like it never rained in the summer and that those dry seasons where always followed by a very wet winter with lots of rain.
Of course, the climate across Chile varies based on where you are. The northern deserts are the driest on Earth while the southern tip is lush with green forests.
