Here are several noteworthy and popular Chilean films recommended to me. I list them in no particular order:
Machuca
Released in 2004, this film shows Chile in 1973 (year of Pinochet’s coup) through the eyes of a young boy.

Mi Mejor Enemigo
This 2005 film takes the viewer back to the 1970’s when Chile and Argentina were on the verge of war over a border dispute in Southern Chile and shows how the young soldiers on the front interacted with each other.
