If I could only do one thing to celebrate Chile’s Birthday…

September 18, 2012 is Chile’s 202nd anniversary. Happy Birthday, Chile!

This week in Chile is known as the Fiestas Patrias. The entire country and all Chileans have a big party. Don’t expect much work to get done but you can expect people to be in a generally good mood.

Chileans celebrate the Fiestas Patrias with many different traditions, events, foods, and celebrations. The collection of all these elements is what makes this time in Chile so special.

Chilean Asado

The Chilean Asado wraps up great food traditions and the Chilean’s love of family and friends in one big package. It is the perfect way to celebrate Chile’s birthday.

Here’s a list of things you can do to celebrate Chile’s independence.

If you could only do one thing to celebrate Chile’s birthday, what would it be?

If I could only do one thing…I would attend the Chilean Festival at Sandown, Victoria, Australia, Saturday 22nd September 2012, with some of my family who live there. Andale!
